City Carré Magdeburg - Tuning an urban City Center

Sometimes even huge urban city centers show enormous potential for improvement already soon after opening.
This is the case with the City Carré Magdeburg. Although opened in a top location in October 1998 and well equipped with some of the best anchor tenants such as REAL and WÖHRL, the economic development did not yet meet the expectations.

SCC was asked to help and analysed the situation in detail at the beginning of the year 2001. As a result a concept for the relaunch of the center was developed that meanwhile is put into reality in great parts in close coorporation with the landlord.

As first steps the constitution of a new center management and the development of a progressive marketing strategy have been realised. Improvements in the architectural structure and the tenant-mix are on there way.
